DAY
1 8:30 am registration for 9:00 am start
THE TOYOTA SYSTEM - LEAN MANUFACTURING
We must have fast flowing flexible factories
if we are to respond successfully and profitably to changing market
requirements. But how do we give our customers what they want, when
they want it, in the quantity they want, and make money doing it?
On the first day we will learn the techniques of Waste (Muda) elimination,
one piece flow manufacturing and apply them to the redesign of three
different organisations. |

DAY 2 BARRIERS
TO OVERCOME - ACHIEVING "0" DEFECTS - DOWNTIME - DELAYS
We must understand the barriers that stop fast fault
free product flow to our customers and master the tools for their
removal.
o
Reducing changeover times and eliminating
downtime, delays and defects
o
Making our factory visual (5's) - Charting our results.
The bulk of the second day will be spent learning
the techniques of set up time reduction, and how to create a well
organised, visually controlled, and pleasant working environment |
DAY
3 a.m. MAKING CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ROUTINE BEHAVIOUR.
On the third day we will study the Kaizen
system for continuous improvement and learn how to focus the talents,
creativity and energy of our people on the key areas of improvements.
The Kaizen chart supplied to delegates, will give us a standard operating
procedure to enable everyone to be involved in the continuous improvement
process.
Our ultimate goal is simple. We must have the
best: - P.Q.C.D.D. in our industry;
o Productivity the highest. o
Quality the highest
o Cost the lowest
o Delivery the fastest.
o Delight for our customers, the highest.
And ensure all these values are improving faster
than those of your existing or potential competitors. |
DAY 3 p.m.
THE SKILLS OF LEADERSHIP - MAKING IT HAPPEN.
In the last session we will learn the key skills we need to manage
our people in the new way.
We must understand that, 'star leaders make their people shine'
As well as focusing our people on the main business
issues, we must make sure they are also making their jobs:
o easier o
faster o
safer
o and more fun
The day will end with the preparation of an action plan to enable
you and your team to start using the new tools on your return to your
own company. |
