Reducing lead times from Days to Hours.
Another major element of lead time is the transportation and storage times involved in traditional batch manufacturing.

This workshop demonstrates the basic benefits of waste elimination in one piece product flow and product based machine groupings.
Delegates will study a traditional manufacturing system, and then
redesign it using the techniques they have learnt. They will then study the completed cell and will see how this compares with their own solution. Lead time will be reduced from 35 hours to 17 seconds.

After the seminar the delegates will be ready to design cells within their own companies. Average results should be 50-90% reduction in inventory and lead time.

Reducing machine Downtime and Defects to Zero.
Fast flow lean manufacturing with low inventories can
become a major liability if machine and systems performance in terms
of availability, running reliability and quality are not consistent.

On this workshop, delegates will learn the techniques and team
structures required to reduce the major machinery and system losses
to zero, i.e.

1. Downtime (unplanned)
2. Speed losses.
3. Quality losses

The goal is predictable, consistent machine / system performance
using the skills of all the people involved, operators, setters,
technicians, team leaders / managers.

The delegate will leave with an action plan for introducing TPM into their own organisation.
